Park Avenue is a major thoroughfare in New York City, running through the borough of Manhattan. It starts at the southern end of the Harlem River at East 96th Street, and runs north to Grand Central Terminal and the Waldorf Astoria hotel at East 46th Street. It is known for its prestigious and upscale neighborhoods, such as the Upper East Side, and many of the city's wealthiest residents live along the avenue. It is also home to many corporate headquarters and famous landmarks, such as the Helmsley Building and the MetLife Building.
